The
American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Cheshire is looking
forward to another successful weekend!
To ensure a fun, meaningful and safe time, we would like to take the
time to remind people of some basics. q
Don't start any open fires, or use gas and charcoal grills except
in designated areas, during designated times Friday 5:00 p.m. to
8:00 p.m. q
Dogs or pets of any
kind are not allowed, except Service Animals as per Connecticut General
Statutes. q
Roller blades,
skates, skateboards or bicycles are not allowed. q
Inappropriate
language or behavior will not be tolerated. All violations will be
addressed, and persons involved may be asked to leave the premises. q
Anyone in possession
of, or under the influence of, any alcoholic beverages or controlled
substances will be removed from the premises immediately.
q
Smoking or chewing
any type of tobacco on school grounds, in tents or in any surrounding wooded
areas is not allowed. q
The Relay For Life is a tobacco free and alcohol free event. q
No fireworks are
allowed.
q
All participants are required to wear the Relay wristband.
Wristbands will be needed to enter the Relay from 11:00 pm to 6:00
am. We realize this is a community event that Cheshire has embraced for the past eight years. However, in this day and age of heightened security we have had to set some rules for the safety of all registered participants. Between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. there will be no entry to the event of non-Relay participants. Only registered team members or chaperones will be allowed to enter during the night. All registered participants must where their wristband at all times while at the Relay (it will be like your ticket in from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am). Any
registered team member under the age of 21 must be at the event before 11
p.m. There will be a check of
wristbands and a chaperone check in for those entering the event during the
night. We ask for your
cooperation and if you plan on having visitors please make them aware of
this rule. |
